Apply for IBDP or IBCP via the Global Selection Programme (GSP)
If you’re aged 16-19 and interested in studying the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or Career-related Programme (IBCP)* at a UWC school or college, you may be eligible to apply through the Global Selection Programme (GSP).
The GSP is available in 15 of our 18 UWC schools and colleges worldwide. It is not currently offered at UWC Adriatic, UWC Robert Bosch College or UWC South East Asia.
*While all UWC schools and colleges teach the IBDP, the IBCP is available at Pearson College UWC and UWC Maastricht.
Is the GSP the right route for me?
The GSP is ideal if you wish to apply directly to one or more specific UWC schools and do not require financial assistance.
If you would like to be considered for financial support, you should apply through a UWC national committee route.
You can only submit one application per academic year – either through GSP or a UWC national committee.

Applications to UWC via The GSP for entry 2026 will have the following windows and deadlines:
- Window 1: 18 August – 1 October 2025
- Window 2: 2 October – 18 November 2025
- Window 3: 19 November 2025 – 14 January 2026 (subject to availability)
- Window 4: 15 January – 11 March 2026 (subject to availability)
*Places for the GSP are first come-first served. If you have a specific UWC in mind, you should apply within the first two application windows. Windows 3 & 4 will open if there are remaining places available.

Applying via the GSP
Before you begin your application, take time to learn about the schools and colleges you’re interested in.
Each UWC school and college offers a shared commitment to our mission, but with a unique local context. We recommend exploring their websites and contacting them directly to learn more about academics, extracurricular and campus life.

What happens after I apply?
Once you submit your application:
- A volunteer selection committee will review it. Please be patient – timelines may vary depending on application volume and reviewer availability.
- You can also check the current stage of your application through the application portal.
- You and your parent/s or guardian/s may be invited for a conversation with an admissions officer from one or more of your chosen schools.
If your application progresses:
- You will be invited to attend an online selection day, which is a required part of the process. This includes group activities, a project presentation, an interview and an emotional wellbeing questionnaire.
- Selection days take place in English via Zoom. You do not need to be a native English speaker, but you must have access to a stable internet connection and a camera-enabled device.
If successful:
- You’ll be nominated to one of the schools you listed in your application.
- You may be invited to a follow-up interview with the school’s Admissions Director or faculty.
Final offers are made by the school to which you are nominated.
