This UWC short course series emerges from Dr. Nandita Dinesh’s book Creative Writing and the Experiences of Others. Nandita is an alumna of UWC Mahindra College and has taught at the United World Colleges in India, Armenia, and USA.
Designed for participants 18 and older, Write the World offers strategies that participants can use to engage — ethically, responsibly, and humbly — with current events.
In February 2026, the course is structured as three two-hour sessions + two five-hour sessions across the span of five days. Please pay special attention to the time zones, as they cross the International Date Line between regions in Asia/Oceania and the Americas.

Eligibility: Participants should be over 18 years of age and live in a suitable timezone to attend all four sessions.
Fees: USD 50-100.
Scholarships: One full scholarship available for a National Committee nominated applicant. Partial scholarships are embedded in the fee structure – participants self-select whether to contribute the discounted rate of USD 50 or the solidarity rate of USD 100.
