If you’re interested in studying at a UWC school or college, we encourage you to apply regardless of your financial situation. More than 80% of students selected by UWC national committees receive full or partial scholarships.
Financial support for the IBDP and IBCP
Fees vary by school, but we work hard to ensure cost is not a barrier for students with promise. UWC International, UWC schools and UWC national committees raise funds to make scholarships possible. This helps open up access to exceptional education while building diverse and inclusive school communities.
To be considered for financial support, you must apply through the UWC national committee in your country of residence or citizenship.
If you do not require financial support, you can apply through the Global Selection Programme (GSP).
What does financial support cover?
All-inclusive scholarships
Cover tuition, room and board, books, IB exam fees, curricular trips, project weeks, visa and travel expenses (including return flights), pocket money and other essential costs.
Full scholarships
Usually covers tuition, room and board, books, IB exam fees, curricular trips and project weeks.
Up to fully funded
Often covers tuition, room and board, books, IB exam fees and curricular trips.
Partial scholarships
Cover some elements of tuition and/or living costs, depending on need and available funding.

Financial support coverage depends on the school, the number of places allocated to UWC national committees and each applicant’s financial need. Support may include full, partial or all-inclusive funding.
How is financial support awarded?
Students are selected based on promise and potential – not their financial background. As part of the selection process, UWC national committees carry out a financial needs assessment. If you’re successful, the financial support amount is calculated based on your circumstances to ensure you’re able to take up your place.
In short, financial need should never stop you from applying.

UWC schools usually collect fees in local currencies. For ease, the two-year fees are displayed in USD above. The fee level is for two years and includes tuition, room and board, books, IB exam registration fees and school field trips. Air travel to and from school, pocket money, trips during term, in some cases, medical insurance and other personal expenses are not included.
*UWC South East Asia, UWC Adriatic and UWC Robert Bosch College are not participating in the GSP.
