UWCIO is launching the Diversity Catalyst – a three-year project designed to help national committees (NCs) map, understand, and strengthen diversity in their communities.
We’re now recruiting our first cohort of Diversity Leads! These will be passionate volunteers who:
- Serve as regional focal points for diversity
- Co-create tools, trainings, and resources
- Help NCs make their promotion, selection, and student support processes more inclusive and adapted to their local diversity
Responsibilities
- Participate in training and learning opportunities in a train-the-trainer approach
- Help design and/or lead workshops for NCs
- Co-create project deliverables (templates and resources)
- Offer peer-to-peer support to NCs in your region or thematic area of expertise
- Join a community of practice with other Diversity Leads
- Provide insights that shape UWC’s global approach to diversity
Skills and preferred experience
- Passionate about advancing ARDEI in real and practical ways
- Interested in learning and co-creating rather than delivering pre-set content
- Familiar with the UWC national committees and/or UWC
- Motivated to build capacity
- Comfortable working collaboratively and remotely
- Available to commit to regular online participation

Safeguarding and inclusivity
The selection committee will score your application based on a competency framework, and a shortlist of applicants will be taken to a final decision, to build the final cohort based on:
- Motivation and commitment to UWC and ARDEI values
- Regional balance
- Thematic and regional expertise
- Ability to contribute to and benefit from a learning community
- Availability and reliability for a minimum of one year
- Diversity of backgrounds
