Voices for peace

UWC Adriatic marks Peace One Day each year, the International Day of Peace on 21 September, with students leading cultural, artistic and dialogue-based activities to reflect on the values of peace and cooperation. The initiative involves the entire UWC Adriatic community and beyond, fostering intercultural exchange and active participation.

This year, the event will form part of the programme of Nova Gorica–Gorizia European Capital of Culture 2025. Thanks to the support of the Municipality of Gorizia, the celebration will be held in Piazza Transalpina, which still holds the border between Italy and Slovenia.

Bringing together all UWC Adriatic students, representing more than 80 countries, we will affirm our efforts of peace with theatre, poetry, activism, music and art performances which represent our different cultures and how everyday we strive to build peace. “
